When you pair bacon with avocado great things happen. Typically for me, this pairing has happened on top of my salads and in my guacamole (or in my deviled egg recipe), so when I came upon this recipe for bacon-wrapped avocado I just had to try it.
Avocados aren’t usually cooked, but when they are they transform into a soft buttery goodness that melts in your mouth. The bacon wrapped around the avocado crisps up so nicely, and the avocado becomes slightly firm on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s like biting into a perfectly crisp salty French fry. A sprinkle of chili powder (or, in my case, cayenne) adds an amount of spice that’s not too hot and adds richness to the flavors.
This bacon-wrapped avocado recipe is super quick to make with just three ingredients, so it makes a perfect appetizer for parties. You could also incorporate these into your meals by adding them on top of fish, pairing them as a side to spicy shrimp, or eating them inside a lettuce wrap. Because, really — when bacon is involved you can’t go wrong.

Let sit for a minute and place avocado slices on a paper towel to absorb any excess grease.
