Pancakes for breakfast can be such a nice treat, especially if you have kids in the house. But, if you’re trying to stay away from sugar, then traditional pancake batter is not your best option.
These paleo pancakes, however, are a great replacement for those classic sugary breakfasts. With only three ingredients, they’re quick to whip up — and they’re even healthy for you.
This is just your base recipe, which is great all on its own, but if you want to change up these pancakes, it’s simple:
- Add blueberries to your batter to make blueberry pancakes.
- Add finely chopped apples and a couple dashes of cinnamon to your batter for an apple cinnamon pancake.
- Or, if you need some extra protein, add a scoop of protein powder to the batter.
I top my paleo pancakes with some chopped fruit to add a little sweetness, but it’s fun to experiment with different ingredients to see what you like best.
