Welcome to this six-week series brought to you exclusively by Whole Life Challenge in partnership with Tune Up Fitness. Each week, coach Jill Miller will teach you new movements (and a few things about your anatomy) so you can increase your mobility (and your connection to your body). These practices are optional and are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your ten daily minutes of mobility.
Jill Miller Mobility Follow Along: Week 1
Welcome, students! This first lesson is one I call “Breath Makes You Whole,” because, well, it does. Breath is the foundation of everything we do, and you may or may not have an awareness of how you are breathing. So we’ll begin by checking in on our breathing pattern (and we’ll recheck after we work through this lesson to see the difference we’ve made).
But before we even start, let’s take a minute to get ourselves in the mindset for this practice:
- I’m a student of my body
- I’m a student of my breath
- I embody my body
Think on those concepts for a minute.
Okay, ready? Now, let’s dive into the different zones of breathing and the mobility practices we can use to positively impact this very important part of our lives. Press play on the video above and follow along with me.
