Each week, I’ll share a workout from my personal exercise routine — and then do it in real time so you can follow along. These workouts are optional and are simply one of the many ways you can accomplish your ten daily minutes of exercise.

Living Room Workout 6

This week, my son joins us for a workout I call “The Easy 2.” The workout itself is not easy, but the way the intervals are set up is. We’re going to work for two minutes, doing just one exercise, and then rest for thirty seconds. After that rest, we’ll move on to the next exercise.

The goal is to accumulate as many reps of that particular exercise as you can in those two minutes. So you will probably stop and start, but you should stay focused and try to keep working.

So, the workout will look like this:

  1. 2 minutes push-ups
  2. 30 seconds rest
  3. 2 minutes sit-ups
  4. 30 seconds rest
  5. 2 minutes Superman arm sweeps
  6. 30 seconds rest
  7. 2 minutes lateral squats

Watch the video for a full explanation of each exercise as well as modifications you can use to adjust to your fitness and mobility level. Remember, part of what we’re learning and practicing in the Whole Life Challenge is personal responsibility. So, listen to your body and back off if you need to.
